Program Description
TGIF is a early childhood child care program that is available throughout the school year. The TGIF child care or day care program is available to all children 2 to 4 years old, students do not have to be current 82nd Street Students to attend. TGIF is a practical, safe, and affordable option for working parents, providing child care for $129 per day that includes breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack. Early childhood child care days are from 8AM to 6:30PM. We are located at 8110 35th Ave. Jackson Heights.

Full Day 8am-6:30pm: ($65) With Membership
Full Day 8am-6:30pm: ($129) No Membership
The Club Membership was created for the comfort of families who need or want their children to have a fun day full of activities and unforgettable memories.
Our TGIF program goals are:
-To provide a safe and clean environment
-Affordability in comparison to a full-time babysitter
-Access to the Learning Park, healthy food options, and engaging group activities
Trained staff members implement interactive, group lesson plans throughout the day. Students participate in a variety of engaging and creative activities that may include art, outdoor recreation, and group activities. Child care classrooms have a student to teacher ratio of 10:1, in compliance with the Department of Health standards. We accept HRA and ACD vouchers, please obtain voucher before registering for a program with 82nd Street Academics. Read about our Learning Park & Playground here!
TGIF Physical and Immunizations
The student’s medical form and immunization record must be submitted with your student’s registration form and up-to-date according to NYC DOH standards.

*We reserve the right to close programs on days with less than 5 students registered. Families signed up for these days will receive a full refund or credit.
*Students do not have to be a current student of 82nd Street Academics. Space is limited so it is best to preregister.

General Environment: In the TGIF program, your student will work and play in a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom. Our staff members will treat your student with respect and dignity. Your student will participate in a balanced program that is designed to support academic and social growth!
Student Responsibility: Students are expected to make a good faith effort every day to cooperate with others, respect others and have a good time. We use positive discipline to help students with:
-Self-Awareness – become aware of their emotions and control them
-We only register students who can function in a 1:10 staff student ratio
-Social-Awareness – aware of the feelings and rights of others
-Personal Responsibility – to treat others with respect in behavior and attitude
-Goal-Directed Behavior – to try projects and group activities
-Optimistic Thinking – to have self confidence in their abilities
