Hi, I am Amalia Rodriguez, the Program Director for the 82nd Street Academics’ Early Childhood team of Educators. My Experience in Early Childhood stems from working within Education programs at NYCDOE Community Based Schools. Every year, we focus on empowering students and working in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education to achieve their goals. It has been a rewarding experience. I hold a Dual Master’s in Education from the University of Touro in New York City. My continuing Education is from Queens College. I want to make your Child’s experience here educational, exciting, fun, and memorable. My personal interests are in the cultural arts, travel, and family time.

Hello everyone, my name is Stephanie Aguirre and I’m excited to be a part of 82nd St Academics as a Preschool teacher! I just graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Also, I will pursue my Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education this upcoming Fall semester at Hunter College. I’ve always loved working with children, which developed my passion for teaching.
Through teaching, I grow as an educator and individual. I support the needs of my students, providing them with an interactive, engaging, caring, and positive environment to learn and excel. I grew up in Jackson Heights and love the diverse community. I even attended 82nd St Academics’ after-school program from K-6, and can’t wait to experience the growth we will achieve this year. I love spending time with my family and friends and some of my hobbies include photography, traveling, and exploring the outdoors. I look forward to this school year!

I’m 33 years old. I live with my husband and daughter in Astoria. I love traveling, cooking, baking, painting, and music. I’ve been passionately teaching for more than 5 years.
I have a bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and History from Queens College and currently, I am a graduate student at Hunter College.

Hello, my name is Lorena and I am very excited to be your teacher this year. We are going to have so much fun together and I can’t wait to meet you. Get ready to learn, play, dance, and sing! I am a mother of 3 children. I love hanging out with them and pretending I’m cool. I am a big fan of Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel. My favorite hobby is reading. I am also a big fan. Carbohydrates are my friends and I will never give up bread.

My name is Mayelin Rodriguez and I am thrilled to be your child’s lead teacher this year. This is my second year at 82nd Street Academics and I am so excited and honored to be a part of such an amazing team. I can assure you that this will be a memorable and fun year! I have a two-year-old son and another baby on the way, I love crafts and I enjoy dancing. I graduated from Queens College with a BA and MA in Early Childhood Education and Sociology.
In the past, I had the pleasure of working as a 3K and kindergarten teacher. I am thrilled and honored to be a part of 82nd Street Academics! I hope this year is full of exciting new experiences!

Dear Parents, Welcome to 82nd Street Academics! My name is Jaqueline (Mrs. Jaky) and I will be your child’s Lead teacher. It would be a pleasure to have your child in our classroom and we are excited to share, learn and grow together every day. My goal is to allow your child to express themselves and be creative throughout the year. As we prepare them to start a new chapter in their lives.
I have been working for 82nd Street Academics since the spring of 2018. I first started working at my local schools and then pursued a career in Early Childhood Education earning my Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Psychology. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Early Childhood Education. Each month we will have new goals to meet and different fun-themed activities to incorporate into our daily lesson plans where each student will be able to use their thematic skills in their educational activities.

My name is Denise M. Carchi, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I have always loved to work with children which developed my passion for teaching. I truly enjoy caring for, nurturing, and guiding children so much that I can’t wait to do the same with your children during this academic year.
I got my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from the University of New York back in 2020. Since then I have been working here at 82nd Street Academics. Also, prior to 82nd St Academics, I worked at different educational centers around Queens. Outside of School, I’m an avid gardener, nature lover, and I enjoy reading and photography.

My name is Ms. Rean and I am very excited to be your Pre-K teacher. 82nd Street Academics is a very special place where you learn many things and gain many life-long friends. My favorite thing about our school is that students always work hard, try their best, and aren’t afraid to experience new things! Pre-K is a very exciting year when you will learn and teach. That’s right… you will spend lots of time in this classroom teaching all of us many of the wonderful things you are an expert at!
Before we get started, I would like you to know a few things about me. I was born in Trinidad, BWI, and raised in good ole New York City. I have an older sister who also happens to be a teacher. I also have a loving Mom and Dad who taught me that being silly and unique makes life more fun. I attended Queens College where I received my BA in Education and MSED in Early Childhood Education. This will be my 7th year as a Pre-K teacher. In addition, I must say, I love my job just as much as the first day I started! I look forward to learning all about you and your families during my first week of school. This will be a wonderful school year, and I am looking forward to our learning adventure together!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rosa! This is my third year at 82nd Street Academics and my fifth year teaching PreK! I was born and raised in Jackson Heights. I enjoy going to Citi Field with my brothers to watch the Mets! On weekends, I watch Formula 1 Racing. My favorite color is yellow because it brings me joy and peace.
My favorite part of being a teacher is that I get to read books every day!
My personal library includes over 300 picture books. And counting – ouch!
I can’t wait to meet all of you and work with you this academic year. We will have a great year full of fun and learning!

I worked with the private preschool at 82nd Street Academics last school year and have experience with UPK, 3K, and grades K-4 at charter schools. I also worked at TGIF and the summer here at 82nd Street Academics. Since early childhood education and the law are my passions, I will ensure that your child is always delighted with school. Additionally, I will also ensure that your child develops independence and self-confidence to express themselves and be excited about the upcoming school year. My goal is to create a safe and fun learning environment to ensure your child can be engaged and empowered throughout their learning journey. Hi Parents, my name is Vanessa and I am the Assistant Teacher in your child’s 3K classroom this year. This will also be my fourth year at 82nd Street Academics. I love 3k and all our exploration, learning, and fun. In addition, I will complete a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Some of the things I enjoy are reading, traveling, and listening to music, I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. I am so excited for this school year and for getting to know and develop each of my students.
