My name is Amy Cheng and this is my first year teaching UPK at 82nd st academics. I graduated Queens College with a B.A in Psychology. I will be pursing my MSED in Early Childhood Education. I am bilingual, my first language is English and second language Chinese. I started working with children when I was 16 years old. I’ve worked with children from ages 2–14. I believe that kids are the future and what they learn from us is very important for the future. I love doing arts and crafts, outdoors play, sports, cooking, yoga, music, and reading. With me your kids will be learning new things. I am looking forward to an successful school year.
My name is Stephanie and I began teaching PreK at 82nd Street Academics in September 2017. I am fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. I graduated from St.johns University, and received my Master Degree in Childhood Education. I gained my experience through teaching children from ages 6 to 12 in general and bilingual classroom settings.
I am so glad to have such an opportunity to build my career here, 82nd Street Academics and join a great team to make lots of good results. I am looking forward to learning from you and also bring my talent and my own teaching philosophy to this wonderful family. My name is Ms.Cristina and I am currently on my 6th year at 82nd Street Academics. I grew up and currently live in Long Island City, Queens. I completed my undergrad in general and special education at Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY). With a one year old at home I am constantly learning and engaging in early childhood practices. I enjoy spending time with children, helping them through their development in every aspect that I can. I look forward to working with students, not only teaching but learning from them on a daily basis.
My name is Kathleen and this is my second year teaching UPK at 82nd Street Academics. I received my BA in Childhood Education/Social Studies and my MS in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College. I have taught students ranging from prekindergarten to fifth grade in both gifted and general education settings as well as camp settings.

This enriching and exciting school year will be filled with inquiry-based learning that will not only strengthen your child’s academic foundation, but also lay the foundation for which they can develop into morally conscious and compassionate individuals. My name is Amalia Rodriguez. I joined 82nd Street Academics in September 2015 as a Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher. It has been a productive academic year and I am excited to join you for the Fall Semester. My MSed is a dual certification in General Education and Special Education and I obtained teaching experience within both practicums. My internships and teaching experience have been within the NYCDOE, Kaplan, Inc. and York Colleges’ South Jamaica Center for Parents and Children. The Summer and Fall are my favorite times of the year. I enjoy the Harvest, and love the Beach and meeting people from all parts of the world. I have traveled to Spain, Morocco, Mexico and Hawaii.
My name is Rosalynne Lunney. I was born and raised in Jackson Heights. I graduated from State University of New York College at Old Westbury in 2008 and hold a B.A. in Psychology. In May 2009, I received my M.A. in Early Childhood General Education and Special Education from New York University Steinhardt. I am married to my husband Daniel and we have 2 sons named James and Andrew.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and making a difference in children’s lives. I am looking forward to a successful school year!
My name is Amy Ron. I am a native Spanish speaker. I was born and raised in Ecuador. I’ve been living in New York City for 14 years. I hold a M.S. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I’ve been teaching for 9 years. I like to watch soccer and tennis. I love to bake, and that is something we are going to be doing in the classroom. Most importantly, I absolutely love teaching! There is nothing more inspiring and exciting than being part of a child’s life; see them grow, and understand life from their perspective. That’s the beauty of this profession!
I believe that we are partners in this very important task of educating your child, and that clear communication and transparency is vital to this process. Hello my name is Yaniri Infante and I am excited to join the 82nd Street Academics team. I grew up in the Elmhurst/Jackson Heights area and began my teaching career 6 years ago as an after-school teacher in my own neighborhood. My love for children and education pushed me to study childhood education. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education from the City College of New York. Additionally, I received a NYS teaching certification. Prior to joining 82nd Street Academics, I was a teacher in a preschool with students ranging in ages of 3 months old to 5 years old. Over the last 6 years I’ve worked in after school programs, summer camp, tutoring services and assisted teachers in various elementary schools in this very neighborhood. I’m excited to utilize all the tools I’ve learned and have an exciting year at 82nd Street Academics.

Welcome to a new school year! I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! My name is Ms. Arati and I am proud to call 82nd Street Academics my new home. I have been teaching preschool for 2 years. I always enjoyed helping young minds learn and grow. I love teaching and look forward to the fun we will have exploring and learning in the classroom.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher since middle school. I am a graduate student at St. John’s University, studying a dual major in early childhood and special education. I continued my passion for teaching by working at a summer camp this summer.
When I am not teaching I love to travel abroad and go shopping. My favorite hobby is hiking and I love to explore nature. My favorite place is Paris, France because I love their crepes! This year will be filled with educational opportunities that will guide the children’s growth!
